- BBC information for schools : provides a wide range of resources for children, parents, teachers and schools
- BBC Skillswise : provides a range of resources to help adults develop their literacy and numeracy skills
- Care for the family : is a national charity that aims to promote strong family life and to help those coping with a family breakdown
- Child Care Link : is a government service to help you find local and national childcare
- Children’s Legal Centre : offer legal advice on a range of educational issues
- Contact a Family : provide advice, information and support to the families of disabled children
- Council for Disabled Children : provide links to support groups for disabled children and their families
- Disabled Students’ Allowance : Information on support available to disabled students and students with learning difficulties
- Every Child Matters : is a government site which provides advice to local authorities and children’s services on how best to support children aged 0-19
- Gifted and Talented : Government information on assessing and supporting children who are potentially Gifted and Talented
- Gifted and Talented resources : from the Young, Gifted and Talented programme
- Gingerbread : provide advice and support for one parent families
- National Autistic Society : promote the rights and interests of people with autism
- Parentline Plus : are a national charity that provide advice, training and support for parents
- Parents Centre : is a government service offering a diversity of advice on educational issues including finding a school; school policies (including truancy and exclusions; bullying; drugs and alcohol abuse) and supporting your child’s academic and social development
- Primary Resources : provide a website including free resources across the primary curriculum
- Scope : provide advice and support for people with cerebral palsy
- Teachernet : is a resource for parents, teachers and school managers. This particular link goes directly to the information on the SEN Code of Practice and information on School Action, School Action Plus and the statutory process but you can also navigate around the site using the tabs and search bar.
